Senior Partner, Rick Scott, CPA, founded S&B originally as a tax practice in 1979. Over the years, the firm has evolved to provide consulting services, becoming more involved in the critical financial decisions individuals and businesses face, while continuing to provide necessary compliance services.  Though S&B has grown from preparing individual tax returns to a consulting firm for businesses, the core values the firm was founded on remain unchanged.  These principles are deeply rooted in ethical practice, on-going education, timely advice and superior client service.

As professional advisors, our goals are to educate clients in their personal or corporate financial matters, provide valuable, opportune advice that is drawn from analysis of strong financial information and to be responsive to all client inquiries.  We take a vested interest in and are committed to the success of our clients.

In keeping with firm goals, S&B maintains memberships at the following selection of associations to stay current on accounting and client industry information: California Society of Certified Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, Sacramento County Bar Association, Western Electrical Contractors Association, Inc., Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, California Chamber of Commerce, Sacramento Area Human Resource Association and the Building Industry Association.
